Marcelo Roca is the executive coordinator of Xcala, an initiative developed together by IEEM Business School (Uruguay) and the MIF, with the goal of accelerating the development of angel investment groups in Latin America and the Caribbean. As well, he serves as professor of Early Stage Financing and Administration at University of Montevideo. Prior to this, he was Partner at Sullivan Consulting, a management-consulting firm based in Puerto Rico specialized in valuation and M&A, and was cofounder at Transops, a company providing strategic sourcing services and e-procurement. With this start-up, he managed to raise capital for business development and experienced the growth of the company from inception to further expansion through the Latin-American region.
He has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from IAE Business School, Magna Cum Laude and a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering from ITBA. In addition, he has attended several specialized programs like Price-Babson SEE and AMP at IEEM Business School to reinforce his business skills.
