As a veteran of the European startup community and based in Germany, Bettina has tremendous knowledge and networks in the European high-tech scene. Her specialty is building technology businesses and networks for investment opportunities in high-tech startups. Her mission is to activate continuously venture capital for innovation made in Europe.
She has developed an excellent network for high-tech startups and growth companies looking for venture capital providing regular first class deal flow to investors. She is a member of various organizations, i.e. EBAN and NBIA. As Chairwoman of the HighTech Startbahn Network Association she belongs to the leaders in incubation and venture development in Europe with many years of industry experience in telecoms. With this association, she created the first support and networking environment for high-tech start-ups to investors, mentors, other SMEs or important actors of the high-tech scene in Eastern Germany.
With a passion for young innovators, Bettina founded and leads as CEO the HighTech Startbahn, an incubator dedicated to building and supporting promising high-tech startups and growth companies in finance, business modelling, team and business building.
She is the founder of the HIGHTECH VENTURE DAYS, Europe’s leading Investor & Venture Forum for High-tech industries, where the 40-60 selected and well trained “Best Of” European ventures present themselves annually to 100+ targeted international investors. With over 2000 funding projects in the pipeline she enjoys excellent contacts to the most promising high-tech ventures across Europe.
Bettina has a track record of 27+ years in managing international companies – as entrepreneur as well as financier. Working with start-ups, her focus is on strategic corporate and business development, financing and human resource development. She was responsible for corporate investments in the ICT sector at DaimlerBenz Group/debitel GmbH and Deutsche Telekom AG as Director Business Development in Europe and Asia. Later on she was MD of the ABC Group of Companies and Powerfrau.Com in Malta. There she co-founded the iWorld Group and was its Executive Director. Next to funding and advising new ventures she regularly leads BMBF funded and transfer related research projects. Bettina has a broad expertise in innovative and entrepreneurial topics and therefore regularly speaks at conferences. She is a certified Business Coach and Negotiation Facilitator.
